M&S Mother’s Day Flowers
Family Fun Days this Weekend
This year we will be hosting an entire weekend of FREE family fun and entertainment at Sprucefield Centre to celebrate Mother’s Day 2012 and the big bank holiday weekend – and we want YOU to join in on the celebrations. There will be entertainment on Saturday and Sunday, so make sure you pop down with the kids to see what’s happening.
Sprucefield is also the spot to shop this year for all your Mother’s Day essentials. Why not nab one of the latest exclusive fragrances from Boots, a gourmet meal and some last-minute chocolates for your Mum at Marks and Spencer or even some spring sportswear at JJB.
From everyone at Sprucefield Centre – have a great bank holiday weekend and see you there for some free family fun!
Santa’s Arrival at Sprucefield
Guess who’s back?! Santa’s will be arriving at Sprucefield shopping centre on Thursday 17th November from 7pm. You won’t want to miss him!

Forever Fish
Forever Fish launches In-Store on Wednesday 22 June 2011. The campaign will see us working together with our customers and their children – and of course our employees – to secure a healthy future for our beaches, seas and fish. Forever Fish involves schools, charities, fishermen and fisheries so that we will all be able to enjoy cleaner beaches, more sustainable fishing and healthier to eat fish.
As well as helping customers make more sustainable choices and introducing lesser known and more plentiful species, we will also invest the profits from our 5p carrier bag charge into Forever Fish. We will use this to fund an education programme called ‘School of Fish’ to inspire millions of primary school pupils to learn more about marine life. We will also be working with the Marine Conservation Society to encourage our customers to help clean 450 beaches around the UK, and will invest over £1million in WWF projects that protect endangered UK fish stock.
What are we doing?
Forever Fish is a major campaign to help protect our sea life, oceans and beaches.
How will we do this?
By aiming to go further than any other retailer to promote sustainable fishing and invest in marine life and beaches.
Why are we doing this?
Our fish stocks and seas are in peril, so as a leader in sustainable fishing, M&S is ideally placed to take action!

Special Olympics Ireland
Special Olympics Ireland – Team 2011
Sprucefield Centre, Lisburn
This Saturday 19th February, Special Olympics Ireland – Team 2011 will be fundraising at Sprucefield Centre in Lisburn. Information on the various clubs associated with Special Olympics will be provided by the Special Olympics Ulster Regional Office based at the Ormeau Business Park.
As part of their on-going fundraising activities, members Tricia Lock and Angela Bell will host a collection of fun activities starting at 10 am in the Atrium area beside Marks & Spencer at the Sprucefield Centre. Face-painting volunteers will keep the kids amused and music for the young at heart will help ease the day for shoppers!
Also Characterise will provide some fun with help from their favourite characters.
Special Appearance by Sponge Bob Square Pants.

Beat the January Blues with Sprucefield!
As part of the M&S healthcare event this weekend, a Boots pharmacist will be carrying out FREE Blood Pressure Monitoring in the mall at the following times:
Fri 28th Jan 1.30pm – 5pm
Sat 29th Jan 3pm – 5.30pm
Also on hand will be a Tony Ferguson Weightloss Programme Consultant to give help and advice on weight loss and healthy eating on:
Fri 28th Jan 10am – 11am and 2pm – 3pm
Sat 29th Jan 11.30am – 1.30pm and 2pm – 3pm
The Tony Ferguson Weightloss Programme is based on sound nutritional science and the latest thinking on food psychology. It addresses all aspects of weight loss, both nutritionally – by using low GI (glycaemic index), good carbohydrates, foods and meal replacements, and psychologically – by providing constant support and introducing enough variety and taste to ensure the programme is palatable and easy to maintain.
