Things to avoid:

  • Chocolate – selection boxes, chocolate coins etc
  • Caffeine – old tea bags, coffee beans and coffee granules
  • Onions & garlic
  • Mouldy foods  especially bread and nuts
  • Grapes and raisins – these are found in mince pies
  • Macadamia nuts
  • Blue cheese – stilton
  • Xylitol – artificial sweeteners
  • Bones – turkey and chicken carcasses
  • Yeast dough
  • Holly
  • Ivy
  • Mistletoe
  • Poinsetta
  • Antifreeze
